Thailand :
The protection of IP rights in Thailand has been moving ahead over the last years. There have been several significant legislative initiatives, especially in the IP regime of the kingdom.

Trade Secret Act
The Trade Secret Act B E 2545(AD 2002) (TSA) came into force on July 22 2002. The TSA contains provisions to protect against the disclosure of trade secrets as well as possibilities for the court to issue injunctive relief. In addition, the Act provides for compensation for the victims of such infringements.

Geographical Indication Act
The Geographical Indication Act was approved Thailand was particularly interested in the protection of geographical indication, because it wishes to protect what it considers to be indigenous products such as Thai Silk and Thai Jasmine Rice.
